Following are some problems/challenges/scenarios that DRMS is solving:

  • Doctor is having lots of movement, within hospital, or to/from external hospitals.
    The data officer who suppose to maintain the latest info, is always having problem keeping up-to-date data, specially on big hospitals.
    When it's the time to provide nominal roll (active doctor listings), the data might not be accurate.

    To address the problems, DRMS provides following feature:
    • Time/scheduling system. Data Entry Officer just need to enter the starting date and ending date of movement. System will take care of the rests. With this system, we can know which department doctor was working at in the past and also in the future.

  • No centralized information when every department has its own system to populate data. This issue leads to inaccurate information in system.

    To address the problems, DRMS provides following features;
    • Administrators can set access-control-list on pages/sections.
      For example; training department can upload information on training section.
    • Administrators can set access-control-list on specific FIELDS.
      For example; IT department is in charge of one field Login ID. IT department can update the Login ID only, while the rest of fields remain locked.
    • Administrators can set special permission rights such as add-only, edit-only permission rights.
      If user has been given add-only, user can only add new record, or import data.

With easy-to-configure access-control-list, administrators can open-up the system to many departments to contribute the data, and this will lead to accurate information in the system.
